Dan painted his first house as a junior in high school, in 1972. Drawn to the visual satisfaction of the painting trade, he continued to paint his way through college (University of Massachusetts-Amherst). His painting business was launched in 1984 as Frost Painting, Inc. During this time, he also owned a painting store in New Hampshire. He also worked at Festool USA as a New England Regional Paint Sales Manager. In the summer of 2013, his son Harrison joined the company and therefore the name was changed to H.D.F. Painting, Inc. Dan has been happily married to Teri Dugan-Frost for 30 years and enjoys soccer, fishing, reading, golfing and biking, with his daughter Rachel, in his free time.
Harrison Frost
Harrison wears many hats at H.D.F. Painting, Inc. from estimating, managing, training, and on site painting. Harrison is a graduate of The Fenn School and Concord-Carlisle Regional High School. As an outdoors man he also worked for the Appalachian Mountain Club in Vermont. With his free time, Harrison is an active world traveler and skier. He has traveled and skied in Switzerland, Japan, British Columbia, Wyoming, Utah and Colorado. He also enjoys all types of outdoor activities, and doing so with his Labrador Retriever, Guernsey.
Steve Carlson
Steve has been with H.D.F. Painting, Inc. for 9 years. He has been a painter for over 25 years and has worked in many capacities. Steve is a very hard worker, industrious and very knowledgeable about the best painting techniques for any project. Steve will complete any task assigned to him with efficiency and quality. He has a keen eye for details and is very professional on every job. Steve is also an avid sports fan and enjoys politics and following trends in the stock market. He resides with his wife Cathy in Malden MA.
Mogley & Guernsey
Mogley and Guernsey are the youngest and cutest members of the H.D.F. Painting Staff. On request from our dog loving clients, Mogley and Guernsey will travel with us on exterior painting estimates. They are both very friendly and love people. Their duties include branch collecting, receiving belly rubs and begging for treats.
